Lethbridge Real Estate - Mountain Heights Probe School
Lethbridge Real Estate - Mountain Heights subdivision and Gerald Probe Elementary School
This past week I happened to be driving through West Lethbridge and was stopped in an area known as Mountain Heights. In this area, all of the streets are named for famous mountains. The homes in this area were just starting construction when I began my real estate career over 16 years ago.
As a result, the floor plans and the construction of these homes is fairly modern. This area provides a nice affordable alternative the the new construction areas, as this area is fully developed already and you need not worry about the noise and mess of living in a construction area.
Another attractive thing about this part of West Lethbridge is the Probe Elementary School. This school is rated very highly by parents and is one of the reasons that this area remains attractive to young families. Lethbridge Real Estate Signs, They Are Everywhere
Just like the song, "sign, sign, everywere a sign" it seems that there are more lawn signs on Lethbridge real estate these days than at any point in our history. Our busiest season for home selling has come and gone and yet the number of houses for sale in our city remains high. This is troubling for home sellers, but good for home buyers.
Lethbridge is not used to having such a large inventory of homes on the market and it is a new thing for a buyer to have so much selection to choose from. There have been times in recent years when I have had buyers who were only able to find one or two homes in their price range, while today it is common to find 30 or more.
With the winter getting close at hand, our market always suffers from a bit of a slow down. It is difficult to get people motivated to get into the car and go house shopping in Lethbridge when it is -40 or when there is 3 feet of snow on the ground. It will be a difficult and interesting winter real estate season if things do not dramatically change soon, and while home prices have been fairly stable, the potential for decline in prices due to too much inventory of homes for sale is very real.
Buyers need to be extra smart and careful jumping into this real estate market. Make sure you are using a professional experienced mortgage broker and Realtor. Now is not the time to make mistakes with your money by following the advice of unskilled on inexperienced real estate people.
