What is DeepLinkIt.com?

DeepLinkIt allows you to build an information portal (a 'Profile') that compliments and reinforces your online presence. Your profile is optimized to appear when Internet users search for your company or your organization's name.

How does a DeepLinkIt.com Profile help my online presence?

1) A profile can help your online reputation management. When a user searches for your business or organization, your DeepLinkIt Profile is optimized to appear near the top of the search results. If you want someone to know more about you, wouldn't you want the information to come from a source you control?

2) The links from your profile help reinforce and promote your related online content. Your profile acts as a hub to your other content, making it more relevant in searches related to you.

Can I link to anything I want from my profile?

Provided your content does not violate our Terms of Use, yes. However, the domains you are allowed to link are limited. For example, the links to your marketing materials must be to your profile domain. Links to your various social media and networking sites must also include the proper domain. For example, your 'myspace' page link must point to the 'myspace.com' domain in order for it to appear in your profile. This is done to maintian a consistent profile structure and to eliminate spam.

Why do you require proof of inclusion from other directories?

We want to avoid spam and only include quality sites with a network of social promotion. Directories such as DMOZ, Business.com and the Yahoo Directory are considered 'trusted directories'. We figure if you're good enough to be on those directories, you're probably qualified for this one (though it's not guaranteed.) We more readily consider submissions with multiple online profiles.

Do I need to have other online profiles, such as LinkedIn or MySpace in order to be included?

No, but if your submission simply links back to your own site without any other listed profile, your submission is likely to be rejected.

There's a lot of information to these  profiles. How can I make the process go faster?

Preparation helps. You might find it easier to make of list of relevant URLs before you start, so you can copy and paste them in when you create your profile.

Can I edit my profile?

Yes, any time you want. However, your initial profile and subsequent edits will be manually approved. This can take from 1-3 business days.

What is the Profile Button? Is it a required link?

The Profile Button is entirely optional - and the code is editable. We give higher priority to sites that link back to us - such listings are displayed first in category results. Your link back should be the same page that you used for your website link.

What type of sites are not allowed?

We do not accept the following:

• Profiles that include, constitute, promote gambling, illegal content or include pornography.
• Profiles that contain affiliate links. Affiliate or outside advertising code is prohibited.
• Linked sites that use cloaking and/or redirects to another URL.
• Linked sites that are "under construction. Please complete your site prior to submission.
• Linked sites that are "mirror sites." Mirror sites contain identical content, but different URL's.
• Linked sites that contain mostly affiliate links. Affiliate links promote or sell products or services outside of their website.
• Linked sites with an excessive amount of pop-up or pop-under ads.

Profiles containing the above will be removed from our directory, without refund.
